Spanish style garlic mushrooms (Champiñones al ajillo): Submitted by: Cartimand | Date Added: 11 Apr 2016

Ingredients

This outrageously simple recipe provides a tapas portion for two and is a very close approximation to the champiñones al ajillo I enjoyed in Palma recently.

Approximately 150g of white or chestnut mushrooms.
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chilli powder or cayenne
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 tablespoon of chopped chives
2 tablespoons red wine (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Chop the mushrooms and garlic and place in the Actifry tray.
Drizzle the olive oil over them.
Sprinkle the paprika and chilli powder over the mushrooms.
Actifry for 8 minutes and serve with a sprinkling of chopped chives.

OR, if you like the extra kick that a drop of red wine gives the mushrooms, stop the Actifry after 4 minutes, carefully drizzle the wine over the mushrooms (avoiding the hot exposed Actifry tray) and then cook for the remaining 4 minutes.
