Golden, buttery, and loaded with garlicky goodness, this air fryer garlic bread is faster than delivery and far more satisfying. Made from a simple baguette with a 3-ingredient garlic butter, it crisps to perfection in under 10 minutes with zero mess. Ideal alongside pasta, soup, or as a starter for your next curry night.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh baguette (or ciabatta loaf), cut into 1cm-thick diagonal slices
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced (or 1 tsp garlic paste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Optional: pinch of salt (only if butter is unsalted and bread isn’t salty)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan or a sprinkle of mozzarella for cheesy garlic bread

Method

Step 1

Prep Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, and parsley until well combined.

Step 2

Butter the Bread: Spread a generous layer of garlic butter on one side of each baguette slice.

Step 3

Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 180°C (350°F) and preheat for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Arrange in Basket: Place slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, buttered side up. For extra crispiness, stand slices upright along the sides if space allows.

Step 5

Air Fry: Cook for 6–8 minutes until edges are golden and crisp, and butter is lightly bubbling.

Step 6

Serve Immediately: Best eaten hot and fresh, perfect with pasta, soup, or as a side to your korma or gammon.

  • For cheese topping: Add cheese in the last 2 minutes.

Tip: Avoid overcrowding. Cook in batches if needed for even crispness.
