Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900g) chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for extra crispiness — gluten-free option)
- Optional dipping sauces: ranch, blue cheese, or honey sriracha
Method
Step 1
Pat Dry: Thoroughly dry chicken wings with paper towels — this is key for crispiness.
Step 2
Season: In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
Step 3
Preheat Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and preheat for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Cook in Batches: Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd). Cook for 12 minutes.
Step 5
Flip & Cook Again: Flip wings, then cook another 10–13 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and skin is deeply golden and crispy.
Step 6
Rest & Serve: Let wings rest 2–3 minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
